Welcome to Greenfield Cricket Club’s home-on-the-web
The Club has been an integral part of the Greenfield and Saddleworth community since 1899 when it was founded.
Greenfield Cricket Club was a founder member of the Saddleworth & District Cricket League of which it remained a member until 2015 when the league merged with the Central Lancashire Cricket League to form the J.W. Lees Brewery Pennine Cricket League. Following the demise of the Pennine League after two seasons the club joined the Greater Manchester Cricket League.
We run five open age teams of including a Women’s team. On Saturdays, The 1st XI plays in the GMCL Championship and the 2nd XI plays in the GMCL Division 4. On Sundays our 3rd XI plays in the GMCL Sunday Premier Division and our 4th XI plays in the Sunday East Division. The Women’s team play in the Lancashire Super 8’s League and the Cheshire Women’s Cricket League.We have youth teams at U18, U15, U13, U11 and U9 who enjoy the services of qualified volunteer coaches. We have an active Girls Cricket section who work with qualified coaches Fred Bottom and Craig Lees. We have:
- Largest junior section in the area
- Five senior teams including a women’s team.
- Two T20 teams
- Clubhouse with fully licensed bar, Sky TV and pool/darts
- Full calendar of social events
- Club mark approved
